Environmentally friendly cleaning supplies protect our environment. 


 

  

This past February, the Village approved a formal bid for cleaning the Bielawski Municipal Center that included a bid specification requiring the successful bidder to use environmentally- friendly products.


The bid language was as follows:


EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

The custodial contractor, to facilitate cleaning of designated areas shall provide the following equipment and supplies which shall be environmentally friendly (green products) when at all possible. Acids for porcelain shall be used at a minimum. All products used must have a MSDS sheet provided by the manufacturer and a copy be provided to the Village of Carol Stream.

Residents and business owners might also consider transitioning from utilizing traditional chemical cleaning products for homes and businesses to eco-alternative cleaning supplies. For more information, view DuPage County's
