The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County
manages over 3,900 acres of  forest preserves
that surround Carol Stream.
 

These include the West Branch, Hawk Hollow, Mallard Lake,
Timber Ridge and Kline Creek Farm Forest Preserves as well as lands
within Red Hawk Park and Community Park.  
 


 


Many people view the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County as an agency that manages just forest preserves.  The reality is that the District manages almost 25,000 acres of land that includes forests as well as prairies, wetlands, uplands, bogs, fens, lakes, riparian areas, streams and rivers.
