Sheds

Sheds cannot be installed within any surface drainage swales. If a concrete slab is to be poured for the foundation of the shed, the Village will require a preservation bond in order to insure that in case of possible damage to the parkway, the sidewalk and the approach these damages can be recovered. This preservation bond in paid by whoever applies for the permit, resident or contractor. 

If the installation involves any digging, we urge that JULIE (Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators) be contacted at (800) 892-0123 to mark the location of the underground utilities prior to any digging. There are no distance limitations from the shed to the underground or overhead cables as long as they are not damaged during the installation of the shed.
