YARD WASTE PROGRAM SERVICES & ITEMS
IDENTIFIED
Yard waste collection is offered to Village residents from
April through November. Yard waste collection service is not
provided during all of January and February. Yard waste may be
placed in a 32-gallon can or in a brown paper yard waste bag NOT
TO EXCEED 50 LB. in carrying weight and placed at curbside with
a Flood Brothers sticker visibly attached to the handle and
facing street-side. Branches should be bundled in not more
than 4 ft. X 6 ft. bundles. One Free Fall Leaf Collection
Service is offered annually which allows Village single family
customers to dispose of an unlimited amount of leaves on the
designated collection day free of charge. Fall Leaf waste
stickers are also offered for sale during a designated six week
fall period and $1.00 off the cost of a regular yard waste
sticker. Please reference

newsletter, the local newspapers, the Water Bill Message Center
or the Village Happenings for details on the designated free
spring and fall collection dates and the leaf sticker use
period.
Yard Waste Items Identified
Grass clippings, leaves, branches, brush trimmings, garden
trimmings, vines, garden plants, flowers, weeds, tree droppings
(pine cones, ornamental fruit) and other types of organic waste
from the cultivation of a lawn, vegetable or flower garden,
trees and shrubbery. Sod, dirt, and holiday greenery is not
considered yard waste.
