ON PATROL
The
Patrol Division is currently authorized with: 
seven Sergeants, 36
Patrol Officers and six Community Service Technicians. The Patrol
Division is a 24-hour, 7-day a week, 365-day a year operation divided into two separate shifts. Each
shift is assigned one sergeant, one corporal and seven or eight patrol officers. Each
of the shifts has one or two Community Service Technicians, to handle
the less serious calls, for service and ordinance violation enforcement.
To supplement patrol shifts during peak activity periods, three officers
are also assigned to "power shift" hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
or 5:00 pm to 3:00 am.
