  • Currently, three groups are a part of the Adopt-a-Highway program in Carol Stream.

In 2016, volunteers cleaned over __10__miles of parkway.

We are currently looking for volunteer groups interested in adopting the following stretch of roadway:

    • Kuhn Road between Army Trail Road and Mohican Road (1 mile)
    • Lies Road between Gary Ave and County Farm Road (1.5 miles)

Participation in this program requires four clean up events a year. One spring, one early summer, one late summer and one late autumn to prevent the need for a large-scale cleanup. The Village will provide everything your group needs --including safety vests, gloves, trash grabbers, and garbage bags.   We even pick up the filled bags once you are done, so you don’t have to worry about disposal.

The Carol Stream Public Works Department will install an Adopt-a-Highway roadway sign with your organizations’ name on it to let everyone know that your group has adopted that stretch of roadway.
