All year long, the Village will be highlighting our storied history as we continue to celebrate our 50th  anniversary. One of our anniversary activities has been the Historical CS50thLogoRecollection Series that invites long-time members of the community and relatives of some of the founding families to share their personal remembrances of the early days of the Village and their unique perspective on the developments that have  helped shape the community over the years.

Those who have visited us thus far include Norma Jean Blum, the very first family to move into Carol Stream Estates, Jay Bennett Jr., the nephew of Jay Stream, Lynn  O’Dell, the longtime Library Director, Stewart Diamond, the Village’s Legal Counsel since 1971 and Pam  Smith, a longtime resident and retired District 93 teacher who was in the first Carol Stream school  kindergarten class.

The Village continues to look for residents that have memorabilia, artifacts or pictures that can help us chronicle our proud history.
