Come enjoy the outdoors and make a difference in the quality of water in our community.  Volunteers are needed… feel free to organize your own group or you can participate in an existing group and join us on Saturday, May 20th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. to help remove trash and debris from our pond shorelines and stream banks.  Individual volunteers are also welcome!  Over the last seventeen years over 1,645 volunteers have participated in this annual clean up and have removed 48,890 pounds of trash with 218 miles cleaned – but each year there’s always more to clean!  Everyone is welcome!

The Illinois Metropolitan Investment Fund (IMET) is a local government investment pool created in 1996 to assist Illinois local governments (municipalities, park districts, school districts, libraries, pension funds etc.) with the investment of public funds.  The Village is one of nearly 300 local government entities that participate in IMET.

If you are lucky enough to live near land that still supports wildlife, you may meet one of your neighbors, the coyote. By learning about local wildlife, humans and animals can peacefully coexist.
