Concert for the Troops & America250 Fireworks

Part of our Free Outdoor Summer Concert Series at Town Center

 

The Village of Carol Stream is pleased to continue its free Summer Concert Series, providing fun, family-friendly entertainment throughout the season. Join us for one of our biggest events of the year as we honor our military with live music, patriotic tributes, and the Village's rescheduled America250 fireworks display.

🎖️ Veterans Recognition Banner Program Dedication: 5:00 p.m. (Veterans Memorial Plaza)
🍽️ Food vendors: 6:00–8:30 p.m.
🎖️Presentation of the Colors by Carol Stream VFW Post 10396 and National Anthem: 6:45 p.m.
🎶 7th Heaven Concert: 7:00–9:00 p.m.
🎆 America250 Fireworks: Immediately following the concert (approximately 9:15 p.m.)

 
Special Pre-Concert Ceremony

New Veterans Recognition Banner Program: Join us at 5:00 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Plaza for the inaugural dedication ceremony honoring six local veterans through a new banner program, a partnership between the Village of Carol Stream and Carol Stream VFW Post 10396. The ceremony includes the dedication of a memorial bench honoring the late Commander Rich Hildenbrand. 

This special evening will also feature a presentation of the colors by the Carol Stream VFW at approximately 6:45 p.m., honoring all those who have served our country., and the singing of the National Anthem by local resident Erin Fischer.

About the Band

7th Heaven is a Chicago-area band with decades of experience performing across the U.S. and internationally. Known for their wide-ranging setlist and signature “30 Songs in 30 Minutes” medley featuring hits from the 1970s and 1980s, their performances bring a fast-paced mix of familiar music that keeps audiences engaged throughout the show.

Parking & Event Information:

 Overflow Parking: Park & Walk service will be available along the Lies Rd. industrial corridor (205 E. Lies Rd.) —beginning at 6:00 p.m. for the concert and fireworks. Follow posted signs and volunteers directing traffic.

 Traffic Restrictions: Lies Road will be closed to through traffic 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Once the roadway is closed, residents are welcome to gather along Lies Road to watch the fireworks.

Additional Information: 

  • Weather cancellations will be announced by 2:00 p.m. on concert days via the Village website and social media.
  • Remember your lawn chairs or blankets
  •  Please note that no outside alcohol is allowed at the Town Center. The Gazebo Stage and its adjacent pathways are smoke-free and e-bikes and scooters are prohibited.
