#StormCommandCS- Storm Clean-Up Effort

Public Works has been responding to and clearing tree damage and debris in the public right-of-way following yesterday's strong storms. To report any parkway tree damage or debris on roadways, call Public Works at 630-871-6260.

For residents with small brush and yard debris on their private property, place your yard waste in 32-gallon cans or yard waste paper bags. Yard waste cans or bags must be affixed with a yard waste sticker and cannot weigh more than 50 pounds. Yard waste items include: grass clippings, leaves, branches, brush trimmings, garden trimmings, vines, garden plants, flowers, weeds, tree droppings (pine cones, ornamental fruit) and other types of organic waste from the cultivation of a lawn, vegetable or flower garden, trees and shrubbery. Sod and dirt are not considered yard waste.

Larger branches need to be in bundles no longer than four feet and no larger than two feet in diameter. Each bundle must be affixed with one yard waste sticker. Brush and logs cannot weigh more than 50 pounds and cannot be longer than four feet or wider than two feet in diameter. Brush and logs placed at the curb must have a yard waste sticker affixed to them.
