Now that Fall is officially here, the Village would like to remind residents to take some time and ensure the storm sewer inlets near your home are free from leaf and other yard waste. This debris ends up in our streams and can impact water quality and habitats for our aquatic wildlife. Clogged inlets also prevent rainwater from flowing into the sewers, which can lead to street flooding. Remember that when raking yards, leaves may not be pushed into the street. Street sweepers will work through the fall season to collect leaves that have fallen in the street, but piles of leaves that have been raked onto the pavement will not be picked up. 

The leaf sticker collection schedule is the last three weeks of October and into November. Residents may place yard waste in 32-gallon cans or yard waste paper bags, which must be affixed with a yard waste sticker and cannot weigh more than 50 pounds. Free leaf pickup is the week of Thanksgiving; you do not need a sticker for free leaf pickup week.
