The November 3rd election included a referendum on our Village Clerk position. The referendum question, “Shall the Village Clerk of the Village of Carol Stream be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees rather than be elected?” was not supported by a majority of voters.
This means the Village Clerk will remain an elected position. Election packets for the Village Clerk position are available in the Administration Department at Village Hall during operating hours. The local Consolidated General Election is scheduled for April 6, 2021.
