Hydrant Hero responsibilities include the following:
- Keep the hydrant visible from the street.
- Keep the hydrant free of snow and ice for at least 3 feet around.
Only shovel your hydrant if it is safe to do so. Be sure you are completely visible and not in danger of being struck by a passing vehicle. Please also only clear your hydrant if you are physically able; you should never put your safety in jeopardy when clearing hydrants. Together, we can keep our neighborhoods safe!
