⚠️ Power Outage Update – Cooling Centers Available ⚠️
We are aware of widespread power outages throughout the Village. ComEd crews are actively working to restore service. At this time, no estimated restoration time has been provided.
If you or a loved one need relief from the heat during this outage, the following cooling centers are open:
- Fountain View Recreation Center - 910 N. Gary Ave - Open until 10:00 PM
- Outreach Community Center - 345 S. President St - Open until 6:00 PM
- Carol Stream Village Hall - 500 N. Gary Ave - Open until 10:00 PM
- Carol Stream Public Library - 616 Hiawatha Dr - Open until 6:00 PM
Staying Cool at Home Without Power:
- Keep blinds and curtains closed to block sunlight.
- Stay on the lowest floor of your home, where it’s cooler.
- Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.
- Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol or caffeine.
- Use battery-powered fans if available.
