Effective January 1, 2026, residential refuse and recycling rates in Carol Stream increased by 3.5% under the Village’s annual contract with Flood Brothers.
There are no changes to service levels for 2026. Collection schedules and programs will continue as currently provided.
Services Continuing in 2026
The following service enhancements, introduced in 2025, will continue in 2026 at no additional cost:
- Elimination of the monthly cart rental fee for standard refuse carts
- Expanded no-sticker-required leaf collection, including:
- The 1st week in April
- The 3rd and 4th weeks in November
These services remain part of the Village’s residential refuse and recycling program and are included in the rates listed below.
