West Nile Virus Detected in Carol Stream
Clarke Mosquito Control confirmed the presence of West Nile Virus (WNV) in a mosquito sample collected near St. Charles Road and Westgate Drive in Carol Stream on May 22nd. The detection indicated that WNV was actively circulating in the local mosquito population. No human cases have been reported at this time, and proactive measures are being taken to reduce the risk of transmission.
Actions Taken:
· A localized adult mosquito control application was applied on May 26th.
· Surveillance and monitoring have been increased in the area.

Village of Carol Stream Mosquito Abatement
The Village’s mosquito abatement program resumes this summer through Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management. Weather permitting, mosquito control applications are conducted as needed between dusk and dawn to help reduce mosquito populations throughout the community.
Residents can sign up for automated treatment notifications, report standing water, and learn more about the mosquito control program and products used on the Village website.
