The Village recently awarded the Fullerton Avenue Resurfacing Project to K-Five Construction Corp. Construction is scheduled to begin during the week of July 20 along Fullerton Avenue between Gary Avenue and Schmale Road.

The project includes resurfacing Fullerton Avenue from Gary Avenue to Schmale Road, along with adding street lighting and sidewalk to fill gaps through this corridor.

Construction is expected to take approximately two months to be substantially completed. While the roadway is expected to remain open to traffic, motorists should anticipate periodic construction-related delays throughout the project. Access to adjacent properties may be partially impacted at times; however, partial access will be maintained at all times.

The Village was also successful in obtaining $750,000 in federal grant funding to help offset the project's approximately $2.3 million construction cost.
