Protect Your Ride: Register Your Bicycle Today
The Carol Stream Police Department is encouraging residents to register their bicycles as part of its ongoing efforts to promote bicycle safety and theft prevention throughout the community.
During a recent Community Connections Summer Program event at Coral Cove Water Park, Officer Carol helped residents register their bicycles while connecting with families and sharing important safety information.
Bicycle registration is a simple step that can make a significant difference if a bicycle is ever lost or stolen. Registration provides the Police Department with quick access to ownership and serial number information, increasing the likelihood that a recovered bicycle can be returned to its rightful owner.
The Village thanks the Carol Stream Park District for its partnership in helping promote bicycle safety, theft prevention and positive community engagement. Partnerships like these bring officers and residents together in meaningful ways while helping keep the community safe.
Residents are encouraged to register bicycles used for trips to the park, school, a friend’s house or anywhere else around Carol Stream.
