Carol Stream is experiencing increased investment in residential development that is bringing a variety of new housing options to the community.
An office-to-apartment conversion was recently completed on Executive Drive, which transformed underutilized office space to help meet the demand for multifamily housing.
The Villas of Fair Oaks at Lies Road and Fair Oaks Road, a duplex community for those 55 years and older, is nearing completion but is already completely sold out.
The Reserve by Pebble Nest and The Enclave at Carol Stream, two townhome projects on Lies Road, were recently approved and will commence construction shortly.
Finally, Covenant Living at Windsor Park, a senior housing campus on North Avenue, will celebrate its 40th anniversary in the village with the construction of additional independent living duplexes.
In total, more than 150 housing units will be added to the over 14,000 units already built in the community. These projects will provide more housing choices for young professionals, families, empty nesters, and seniors, while supporting Carol Stream’s long-term growth and housing diversity goals.
