After the parade, gather at the Ross Ferraro Town Center for music beginning at 7:00 pm when Strawdawg performs a 2-hour modern country concert from the Town Center Gazebo stage.
Food Truck Row will open at 6 PM when Toasty Cheese, The Roaming Hog, Golden Eagle Hot Dogs, Mario's Cart, Cup Cakes for Courage, and Culver's Frozen Custard will serve their signature entrees including gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, BBQ, hot dogs, tacos, cupcakes, and frozen custard. After the concert, the Village and the Carol Stream Park District will co-sponsor a Fireworks show to patriotic music that will begin at 9:20 pm sharp. Public viewing areas include Veterans Park, Mitchell Lakes and the Town Center grounds while Hampe Park due northwest of the Town Center is a restricted area and off limits for the viewing of fireworks.
On July 4th, the Police Department reminds residents that there will be no parking on the following streets from 7 AM- 11:30 PM:
EAST SIDE: Boone/Bowie Dr. & Idaho Tr. (N. of Lies)
ODD SIDE: Dearborn Cir. and Adler Ln.
BOTH SIDES: Trevi Dr., Shaftesbury St., Fountain View Dr. (N. of Lies) and Goldenhill St.
The July 4th parade will travel eastbound on Lies Road. Local traffic on Lies Road will be restricted between the hours of 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM on Thursday, July 4th. Vehicles that are not participating in the parade will not be allowed to travel on Lies Road during this time.
In addition, Lies Rd. from Idaho Trl. east to Gary Ave. will be closed to through traffic from 7 PM-11 PM. Signs indicating local traffic only for residents living in the area east of Kuhn Rd. will be in place prior to the road's closure. All other motorists should take North Ave. or Army Trail Rd. as an alternate route. Due to limited paved parking at the Ross Ferraro Town Center, the Village has
Park and Walk Service to and from posted parking lots along the Lies Rd. Industrial Corridor from 7 PM-11:30 PM. The general public is also encouraged to utilize the
FREE shuttle service to remote parking at Glenbard North High School.
Village Administrative Offices are closed Thursday, July 4th and refuse collection will be postponed one day. Village Emergency Services will remain active.
