The Patrol Division consists of teams of supervisors, officers and civilian community service technicians. These teams are responsible for emergency responses, non-enforcement community outreach, problem solving and self-initiated activity that contributes towards increasing safety and reducing crime.
Through ongoing training and education, the Patrol Division is committed to protecting the lives, the rights and the property of the public.
Many patrol supervisors and officers hold additional responsibilities to teach skills to law enforcement or provide specialized services to the community including:
- Child safety seat installation
- Evidence technician services
- Defensive tactics
- Range training
- Rapid response training
- Advanced DUI enforcement
- Custodial searches
